Grant Assistance
Funding assistance may be
necessary for clients to develop alternative water supply
sources locally and to plan for them regionally.
Funding opportunities include
a cost-share grant with the District's Florida Water Protection
and Sustainability Program. This grant pays up to forty
percent of the cost of alternative water supply projects.
We're familiar with this grant's prerequisites and have
helped several clients secure funding from this program.
The Florida Forever Act
provides additional funding to projects listed in the District
Water Supply Plan (DWSP). Eligible projects include those
that increase water amounts through aquifer recharge, by
facilitating the capture and storage of excess water flow
or by promoting reuse. We have succeeded in obtaining funding
for our clients, as well as having secured Community Budget
Issue Requests funding from the Florida Department of Environmental
Protection.
There are also other water supply grants available
which assist with water conservation and education. SMW GeoSciences, Inc. continually
monitors new funding sources for our clients.
